BEFORE YOU DOWNLOAD

This app currently works
on your local network.

You need a reachable Shared Safely server and a server connection file from your administrator. The download contains no preconfigured server address, account password or device invitation.

Your website account does not give this version of the app Internet sync. For access outside the server’s local network, use browser file access. Peer-to-peer transfers are currently in the browser, not the Mac folder watcher.

GET SET UP

A folder away from ready.

  1. Open the DMG.

    Drag Shared Safely onto the Applications shortcut, then eject the disk image.

  2. Open it from Applications.

    The app lives in your menu bar. This preview is not notarised; if macOS blocks it, consult Apple’s guidance. You can use the website while waiting for a notarised release.

  3. Connect your local server.

    Choose the server connection file your administrator supplies, sign in, then select a dedicated private folder. Allow Local Network access when macOS asks so the app can reach your server.
